In Part IV, we discussed that the new rocket drones of the Ukrainian army are enabling new tactics of Area denial like remote blockades and cluster bombing using their long-range drones as Starlink relays.
In this post I want to highlight that the ability to deliver a heavy payload in the Russian rear represents an opportunity to deliver goods and weapons to special forces operating behind enemy lines.
The Palyanitsa drone or a long-range strike drone could be modified to drop a canister into water areas with a self-inflating buoy attached for retrieval.
The canister could also be designed to act like a self-inflating dry launch platform for drones.
The general idea being that you throw a 200kg in any water surface near your target and the canister deploys the launch platform.
Once stable, drone swarms could launch from the platform to strike their target.
The life raft could carry a Starlink uplink to enable drone strikes even when there is no Starlink enabled drone in sight.
This would allow the remote deployment of sleeper cells and enable Ukraine to conduct ambushes anytime up to 20km away.
A great place to put those would be the lakes between Kherson and Crimea or lakes near critical rail bridges.
Potentially it could be used to plant drone swarms in the enemy rear prior to the arrival of the long-range strike drone.
It could also be used to deliver goods to Partisans, supply special forces or just provide a convenient cover for partisan activity.
